What the world eats
Photos of families from around the world and what they eat in a day. Beyond the obvious “ooh, look at the processed food vs. sacks of grain” comparisons, bananas stick out as a popular food probably just about everywhere they are available.
This is fascinating. I wonder if this is the same photographer who photographed all the belongings of families around the world? The exhibit was at O'Hare Airport for a while.
Wow - some of these families drink way too much soda.
Also, I'm surprised by the large variation in what people spend and how much people spend. There was a family in North Carolina that spends $340 per week. That's over $1,300 per month just for food. We'd go broke!
