I think those who work most closely with technology fear its domination of their lives the most. Even for someone like me, who sits in front of a computer all day and working with data of all things, the threat of my whole life being whittled down to nothing more than gadgets is just not something I worry about. Technology is great for a few, very handy tasks but let's not forget that it's not a panacea for everything one must do in life. For example, Web 2.0 does not yet change diapers or remove fish smell from my kitchen.
