While discussing The Long Emergency at the bookclub on Saturday, the topic touched on how little of a clue most everyone of us has about where the food we eat comes from, where the waste from our homes goes, and what we know about the land around us. I remembered a list of questions regarding this I had seen online awhile back.
With a little searching, I found The Big Here — 30 questions to elevate your awareness (and literacy) of the greater place in which you live. It's pitiful how few of these questions I know the answer to, considering I've lived in this city for 32 years. I plan on learning alot of these answers.
