Top 50 Conservative Rock Songs
As chosen by The National Review.
I'll try to keep this top 50 streak going…
That was an entertaining list, but I have to object to "Won't Get Fooled Again" as the number 1 song. The rationalization was cute, but that song is a wastoid anarchist's anthem. Let's not forget that one of the band members drank himself to death. That's commitment in the race to the bottom.
Also, how could "Proud to be an American" by Lee Greenwood not make the list - is that too country maybe? While I'm at it how about "Okie from Muskogee" by Merle Haggard. Too country again?
We don't smoke marijuana in Muskogee
We don't take our trips on LSD
and
We don't let our hair grow long and shaggy
like the hippies in San Francisco do
Man... how could I have forgotten "Political Science" by Randy Newman:
We give them money but are they grateful?
No they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us, so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them
Asia's crowded, Europe's too old
Africa's far too hot and Canada's too cold
South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one there'll be no one else to blame us
