I looked out the front window (which is still without blinds - please watch me watch TV) last night, and I was surprised to see an outdoor skating rink across the street. Our neighbor told us the park district pours and freezes that spot every winter. I can't explain why, but I'm incredibly happy to see an outdoor ice skating spot from my front window.
