The Rock Snob's Dictionary : An Essential Lexicon of Rockological Knowledge
Despite my enthusiasm for certain recent bands, I look fairly green when I stand alongside a rock snob, real or would-be. I don't know anything by the MC5. Iggy Pop does very little for me. I've never heard a Captain Beefheart song. I both started and stopped enjoying R.E.M. too late. Sonic Youth is impenetrable to me and I'm secure about that.

So I'm gonna buy this book and read it.
