The Devin Davis cd is really good, I agree. Spoon's latest is a bit of a letdown for me. Guess its foolish to expect Kill the Moonlight, Part II, but that's what I was hoping for. Perhaps it will grow on me.
Well, 11 days later, I definitely like the new Spoon more. Still my 3rd favorite Spoon record, but no longer a distant 3rd.
By the way, have you heard of Head of Femur? I just picked up their debut 'Ringodom or Proctor' (which actually came out two years ago) and I highly recommend it. If you don't already have it, give it a listen -- its on iTunes. Their second album came out last week, but I haven't heard that one yet.
