Even if you know close to nothing about the 64 teams in this year's NCAA men's basketball tournament, there's a good chance you got roped into filling out a bracket. And since you know very little about these teams other than the numbers next to their name, your bracket probably looks like your first essay returned from your freshman year English teacher. How bad is it?

What you had to say:

I'm very proud that I did not produce a bracket this year. I don't much like basketball and don't really follow it, but I wasted a few bucks on a pool every year since my freshmen year at college when I won the pool randomly (I picked Cincinnati to go all the way because my parents went there. They went to the final four against everyone else's expectations).

Because of that success, and because I'm a male American, I felt socially obligated to have a bracket. No more. I've liberated myself from this manifestation of the patriarcal hegemony or whatever.

Now, if you want to talk about the NCAA hockey tournament, I'm your man.

I am currently in the middle of the pack in my work pool. I really don't watch basketball at all, except for tournament time, so I enjoy picking the winners from the numbers left of their name and if I know anyone from the state of the school. Anyway, it gives me something to root for.

Right now, I have 2 teams eliminated from my elite 8 and one from my final 4. It doesn't look like I will come out on top, but it is worth the few bucks to circle teams on my printed out bracket in my office.

I'm middle of the pack as well - but I have a key differentiator. Everyone else picked Illinois or UNC to win (except for poor Rick, who picked Kansas!). If Duke wins, I will be king of the drones!

No bracket here, either. In fact, at work (where I'm assuming y'all filled out brackets?) even mentions basketball. Or even sports, come to think of it. Hm.

they actually posted something on our intranet prohibiting us from making bets on the tournament.

I filled out two brackets, one based upon moderate research (i.e. ESPN.com), the other straight from the gut. Right now the Gut is kicking the crap outta Research. Go figure.

I'm still alive with Louisville. Wish me luck
