Amazon has scanned menus online
Is this new? The left hand sidebar has a listing of neighborhoods in Chicago. They also have menu listings for restaurants in San Francisco, NYC (lots and lots in NYC), Boston, Seattle, and DC.

Glad to say that it's been around for a few years now.

The only problem is that it has always been difficult to find.

Considering the thousands of menus on there, kinda dumb of me to think this was new. Well, it's new to me, anyway.
