Lost in a Swing State
Our good friend, Chris, is heading up to Stevens Point, WI to run a get out the vote drive for the 10 days leading up to the election. He's writing a short-term blog so we can keep an eye on him for the next couple weeks.

For about 10 days, I'll call Stevens Point home, and do nothing but try to find my way around, figure out what makes the locals tick, and — no doubt — drink lots and lots of weak, burned, unfortunate coffee with dozens of cold, unrested volunteers like myself. Or maybe I'll be shuffled off to some back room somewhere, drafted to “run the computer network” because I'm the least unqualifed person in the room. It's hard to know. Democracy is littered with small, mundane tasks that no one wants to do.
