I loved this unpublished Bill Murray interview from 1999.
Whenever we play the “which famous person went to your high school?” dinner game, Bill Murray never fails to capture the crown for me. This past week he beat out Elvira and the ex-wife of someone not famous enough to remember.

That was a really great interview.

My own high school in Springfield is sprinkled with a few sports icons: One was a Dallas Cowboy; another was a St. Louis Cardinal (baseball Cardinals) who also was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1974; another guy is a former CNN sports anchor and now a Yankees announcer. Billy Murray definitely trumps all three of those, combined. I'm impressed.

I went to an all-guys school, so Jenny and I didn't share classes. I'm sure she would have been quite popular, however.

She went to Mother McAuley which is on the south side of Chicago -- far from my school in the north burbs.

I mentioned in the post that Bill Murray beat out Elvira for famous high school alums in our dinner conversation last week. Stacy's brother, Brad, went to Palmer in the Springs or Elvira-high as Beth said.

Chris O'Donnell graduated from Loyola in 1988. He's all over the yearbook.

Yep, I sometimes bring him up too, but Bill Murray is really a knockout blow. O'Donnell took Latin 1st period in the classroom where I took 2nd period class as a frosh. Deeply interesting trivia that is.
