This morning, Good Morning America had in the studio 2 Amish kids, 2 “city” kids, and the producer of Amish in the City, the reality show I mentioned yesterday.

Diane Sawyer asked the producer a pointed question about his show exploiting the Amish culture and religion. His paraphrased response: The Amish have a rite in their religion called rumspringa that encourages the young adults to explore the world and decide their future for themselves. I don't feel we are exploiting them. The Amish don't watch television.
