John has recent posts on the Millenium Park Grand Opening schedule and the Uptown Square development at A Daily Dose of Architecture.

The park illumination tomorrow night sounds very cool, but if I have to wade through a throng of people that might not be so good.

A Borders bookstore fills the old Goldblatt's space in the new Uptown Square development at Lawrence and Broadway. I'm sure plenty of people will moan anytime a chain moves in anywhere, but I like what the developer did with the diagonal block. Now if someone could rehab the Uptown theatre into a new arts centre or performance space, that would be excellent.
