Ditka declines a run for the Senate
Greenberg & Golic, the morning sports radio hosts on ESPN 1000, were disappointed by the news. They had weeks' worth of Ditka comedy bits lined up and now they have to toss them in the trash. I'm sure Saturday Night Live had the Superfans skits written and rehearsed.

What do you think Obama really thought about the prospect of facing Da Coach? He should have been scared. It's easy to joke, but remember, Jesse Ventura and Ah-nold won on their popularity. Many famous athletes have become successful politicians, but Ditka is a whole different class. He owned Chicago when I was growing up.

If party chairwoman and state treasurer, Judy Baar Topinka, can't find a candidate by next Thursday, she might have to make a deal with Spike O'Dell on the WGN morning program. 7th caller gets a Lobstergram and a spot on the ballot.

THANK GOD. At first when I heard the Republican party was courting him I thought it might be bad for Obama. Then I thought about the actual possibility that Ditka would represent me in the national government and cried out. In embaressment.
