2004 World Series of Poker schedule on ESPN
Televised poker isn't going away anytime soon, so if you don't like it…tough. The good news is ESPN expanded the coverage beyond the main event. I won't have to watch the same rerun of Sammy Farha and Chris Moneymaker at the final table 14 times.
Main event coverage starts August 17. The smaller event shows began last night. All airtimes are Tuesdays 8-10PM CST.
Way more addicting than reality television.
Mirrored shades should be illegal in competitive poker.
Not having watched a lot of poker, I have this romantic idea that the ideas are very important, so everybody should be on equal footing. Let the eyes be seen!
I don't know if they should be illegal, but emotionless players like Moneymaker are pretty boring to watch. He's almost like a statue when he bets.
We watched "The Master" play 7 card stud last night. He talked WAY too much. I like it when they don't look or have to get up and walk around the table because they can't stand it.
