Scroll down to the map and legend. You will see the map of the U.S. as seen by a Californian. The states of Vegas, Reno, and Aspen are present. Also, you'll see the state of Chicago.

11 points to the state of Chicago, which is a convenient home to the city of Chicago. [I canít begin to tell you how many Californians think Chicago is a state].
This post picks on Californians, but most Americans are ignorant of where places are in their country and the world. If you change the perspective of this map to the average New Yorker, Chicagoan, or Texan, it'd be equally myopic with different placenames. I'm sure we have senators and congressmen that couldn't finish one of those wooden puzzles of the 50 states.
