Explosions in the Sky is playing at Empty Bottle tonight. I'm heading out solo, tickets are $8. These guys opened for ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead recently and supposedly blew them away. This I have to see.

Powerful show. Del Rey opened for EITS. They used 2 drum kits and electronic looping to create some interesting rhythms. They reminded me somewhat of a less electronic Kid A. I picked up their record.
EITS played an emotional, trance inducing set. I was afraid several times that they were going to hit each other with their guitars. They kept violently swinging them around while absolutely abusing the strings. Explosions in the Sky is definitely worth seeing if you're familiar with their music at all.
