If you have some cash burning a hole in your pocket and a special occasion to spend it on, check out Jilly's Cafe in Evanston. Le Bouchon was our former bistro favorite, but we both give the nod to Jilly's. The service was outstanding and the food was very good with lots of it. We ended up being the last ones there talking to our waiter, Steven, for almost an hour about baseball, favorite restaurants and how true Kitchen Confidential really is (very, according to Steven).

I am still full this morning! Very good dessert.

That's not the same Jilly's that's the blues place right?

No, I looked that up in metromix. I guess there's a Jilly's Piano Bar on Rush. I hadn't heard of that. This place is a small bistro (15 tables) in Evanston.
