Since I posted about Lost in Translation, many Googlers have hit here looking for "What does Bill Murray whisper in Lost in Translation?". The answer? Nobody knows, and that's why that scene is brilliant. Google may have the answer to life, the universe, and everything (42, incidentally), but not everything can be known via web search. Some things in life are meant to be open to discussion.

I don't know what Bill Murray said, but I love to think about it. Same thing goes for the island in The Life of Pi and that's why I chose it for the book club.
