My Mixtapes is an Emusic.com fansite. My Mixtapes compiles user-submitted virtual mix tapes of Emusic tracks. (e.g. The Geographic Mix and Time Capsule: 1987) Taking random download stabs is a waste of time since I haven't heard of 98% of the bands on Emusic. My Mixtapes is a good starting point/filter for the huge pool of non major-label stuff out there.
