Would you willingly pay $50,000 and inject your child 6 times a week for 4 years so that he or she would be a couple inches taller? The FDA has approved Eli Lilly's product, Humatrope, as an elective option for increasing growth in children. Forget the money (not that I got it sitting around anyway), there's no way I could consider giving my kid shots of an artificial hormone everyday for 4 years solely because I wanted him to be taller. I think some parents are crazy.
