A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. This book looks right up my alley. #1 Walk in the Woods by Bryson was funny as hell and #2 Books that answer my curious questions (the 29 year old versions of 'why is the sky blue?') means less questions I have to bug my science-educated wife and medical-educated sister with. If you've read this or know anyone that has, heard anything good?
(Geek footnote: As a 7 year old, I read volumes 1, 2, 3 & 4 of the Charlie Brown's Book of Questions and Answers series. These are all sadly out of print, but maybe my mom still has them. Curiosity dies hard.)
